'rosho Cashew Butter

Treat yourself  to mouth-watering, creamy cashew butters!

Kazi Yetu brings you ‘rosho, a women-run social enterprise in Tanzania that crafts flavoured gourmet spreads from certified organic cashews. Cashews in Swahili are ‘korosho,’ which is where the brand name comes from.

'rosho´s philosophy

Handcrafted, with your health in mind

All cashew butter varieties contain high quality ingredients, with zero palm oil and zero additives. The goal: to create healthy and at the same time delicious snack options.

Proudly Tanzanian

The cashews come from a certified organic cooperative in southern Tanzania (a total of 950 smallholders), and the cashew butters are produced in Rosho’s own factory in Dar es Salaam.

Women Empowerment

The manufactory currently employs 13 women who receive a long-term income through Rosho (about 80% more than the Tanzanian minimum wage, annual increase, food allowance).

LOCAL VALUE ADDITON

As with Kazi Yetu, Rosho’s focus is on promoting local value chains and creating fair-paying, long-term jobs.

Some of our favourite ways to enjoy ‘rosho:

  • Spooning it straight out of the jar (guilt-free!)
  • Swirling it on top of porridge (delicious)
  • Spreading it on toast (creamy)
  • Blitzing it into our smoothies (boost of taste)
  • Drizzling spoonfuls over bananas or strawberries
  • Baking & making sweet & savoury recipes
